I have been developing games mostly as a hobbyist since 2002ish where my first ever experience making a game was with Klik and Play (by Clickteam) when I was 12! , however I have released a few games too.
My game making experience includes:
- C # XNA / MonoGame
- Multimedia Fusion 2 (Clickteam)
- Game Maker Studio 2
- Custom built Engines in C# / C++
I noticed Flax Engine from a YouTube video by Gamefromscratch that peaked my interest as I have often fallen out with Unity because of some of it’s assumptions and quirks, which lead me to end up making my own game engine using MonoGame and pure C#. Looking through the documentation and mainly the Flax for Unity developers page within, I found at least some of the annoying quirks have been “fixed” with Flax so that seemed like a good place to jump in and give it a go
