that’s also how feel, and most of my own suggestions to the engine haven’t been good enough, or it’s because Flax Engine is so cool most people can’t understand that at all
have gotten used to meter thinking, and that somehow it makes a bit more sense, or sort of feels ’ more useful ’ where it’d be a step back to change that at least as the default settings, and where think perhaps it could be somewhere as a toggle for each project one works on, or what matters is to keep Flax Engine ’ totally awesome ', and the contributors are really good at that for all the new features also

yeah i dont think flax should become unity, i hate unity, and hence why i use flax instead. but i do think cm should be changed to meters becuase that is the industry convention. It makes porting code from unity or unreal engine to flax easier, it also makes research papers and other documents stuff easier to implement. also it just what people are used to using. I still have habit of typing meters, so i just have to add a few zeroes after.
Fine be that way
I was just getting used to cm.
Yes, I really enjoy using Flax engine and it has a lot of great features and some quality of life improvements compared to Unity.
totally awesome engine, or for some reason it looks very ’ clean ', and then the dark grey, or light grey colors remind me of this at all
light grey hull, and then the ’ dark grey ’ asphalt for launching the jets, or somehow it reminds me of the Great Spirit, and then sort of ’ very effective teams ', or not sure what’s called elite navy operators these days
even though not a fan of America right now ( from Denmark, and they’ve tried to ’ borrow ’ Greenland that’s part of our country ) that think at least JFK made sense, or that remain a fan of the Navy SEALs
– Flax Engine somehow feels very ’ pro ’ because of that where it’s almost as if it could run anything, or has all the tools, and settings to make the latest content
– somehow it feels almost ’ eternal ’ to me, and that a total fan of the pacific fleet where it helped secure peace during, or also after WW2, and that wish could have been a noble marine, etc

Just to give my two cents, Yeah honestly it shouldn’t matter what it even is, it could be 1KM per world unit and it wouldn’t matter, Sorry not sorry but it’s … not the tool that makes the mechanic.
It’s better to focus on features and bug fixes, not “minor preferences”. Or even, if they really want it that bad, download the source and do it themselves.
It’s the same thing with
Sorry but “Vibe coding” or whatever they call it now, ignoring all the copyright and intellectual property issues. Like… if you need a so called “Coding experts” to guide you and tell you how to code (Or even just do it for you), there’s much to learn before you should even think about going public.
NOW, don’t get me wrong, if you are actually using the AI to help you learn then sure, learn away. AI Is a TOOL not a complete package. again, It’s not the tool…
I’ve been developing games as a hobby for around 10 years and i’m still learning, but that’s the key, i’m actually learning.
Sorry to say, but I am not a user of Unity but prefer Meter to express the world I want.
But I commented just ‘I will vote’, not saying anything radical.
I want to express the world of tens of kilometers with the entities in human scale, and ‘float is enough’ is showing you’re not understanding the fundamentals of precision. Believe me, I did a math and shifting the point 2 steps would IMPROVE the precision what I making.
I did not insist to change, just joined the chat. But I see retroactive ideology verification now.
It is pretty offensive to prejudice the world user came from with the metric scale.
I think we are all founders still building, and most people are just want to create better next block of the Flax itself. Thinking the similarity as an evil and the suggestion as the challenge to the dogma went too far.
somehow meters also work better for me, or it’s sort of easier to think that way, and somehow Flax Engine is trying to be very user - friendly, or then it makes sense
what think is perhaps to add a setting somewhere, and that could solve all these issues, or not sure for each project if it’s so important to get cm - precision, and myself think that’s what could be ’ excessive ’ to work with despite it all, or sort of ’ too much accuracy ’ for making most video games
note : when making most buildings, and also roads in the real world one cares more about how many meters they are, or except for quite small objects it’s not really necessary to have that level of detail, and somehow that meters feel more ’ pro ', or how the more amazing coders put things together, etc

While I prefer meters, I’m ok with cm. There is an engine that uses inch.
I’d assume youre talking about source engine, lol. It uses meters for scaling, but inches for everything else. not only that, but the hl2 characters are arely over 1 meter tall
