Some things i've noticed about the Editor

After using Flax for around maybe two years (and i’m sure more to come), there has been a few things that i’ve noticed that would be better if they worked differently, i would like to have them looked over and get some exposure on them. These are merely suggestions, they would not affect my outlook on the engine/developers if not added.

If these features are planned, I am sorry, I have looked through some of the specific trello boxes but there’s so much there i’m not sure if i didn’t fine it, or if I just didn’t look hard enough.

Tweaked:
"Drop to floor hotkey" (end):
I would like this to be an “on press” (Once) not an “on press and hold”(while down), I only recently found out about it and it seems really handy but when i press it, the object goes through multiple objects when calculating the “floor” making me think it repeats it each frame in editor.

Foliage Painting:
In unity, when painting foliage and foliage models, the brush only paints on the terrain, not all colliders. I think having a layer filter (like the raycast) would be a great idea when painting foliage, however, unlike unity it will also paint on selected layers instead of just terrain.

Fixed? Tweaked? (Not sure what it would fall under):

The lights:
When i put a light (Mainly point, however, spot does this as well) from the selector into the scene the settings are different than the “default”. The Distance, Fade Distance, and Depth bias are all different than the ‘default’ values used to be shown by the yellow indicator. (Is this a new default that isn’t set somewhere? resetting them to default creates shadow artifacts relative to too low depth bias, but leaving them as is makes shadows look odd as well, disconnected on floors and such with a too high bias).

With the lights is this like a new intended way to render lights or is it something else. Something planned?

I think i had more, however, being the “i can remember”, i haven’t written them down and promptly forgot (oops). If i remember more i will put them in this same thread if they are not in the trello.
