What flax engine needs, to Get its place in b/w Unity and Unreal

Here what I think Flax Engine Needs, This will help new comers to try and use this engine for their future projects:

  • Complete Documentation for (at least C#) like Unity Documentation.
  • YouTube Channel Updates and Showcase like Unity and Unreal showing their power and showcases
  • Some playable demo ( updated with each engine release)
  • YouTube Tutorials for creating basic games (FPS TPS) etc
  • Tutorial for how to use each tool like Unity Essentials
  • Never break Trust of Users Like Unity and Ensure them that you care about Devs
  • Focus on Stability of Engine

I love this engine and I want this to be successful. I want to see “Made with Flax Engine” Titles on Steam, Playstore , AppStore and other digital stores.

I absolutely agree with you. However, you can’t compare Flax with Unity or the Unreal Engine. They are multimillion dollar companies with hundreds of people.
Flax is developed by one developer. There are some supporters, but actually there is only Wojciech Figat. I think he has another life besides Flax and can’t take care of that too. He has already achieved a lot, but he can’t reach the level of Unity or Unreal.

Replace Threejs

I’d love to see units switched from cm to m, its more intuitive, will make Unity transition much easier. It makes it a lot more convenient to make large worlds since floats have limited precision when the numbers grow large, and they grow large 100 times faster when using cm.

Please make cm optional if it has to be used at all, I see absolutely no reason for using cm except for some legacy reasons.

I also agree on the TCs point on not breaking peoples trust. How would we know that down the line when the user base has become large enough, someone wont just buy flax and impose an impossible to bear license fee like Unity did, trapping us as it would be too hard to change engine when heavily invested in it? Many of us has felt betrayed by Unity, and are now wary.
