Will an improved subsurface scattering shader, an anisotropic specular hair shader be added in the near future (comparable to Unreal or Unity HDRP), because in comparison of rendering realistic characters, things are not going well yet
I added task for the roadmap to improve skin rendering and subsurface materials.
Hope more ‘built in materials’ to be provided with engine. There are even some example shaders snapshotted inside document but not shipped with libraries.
Something like shader gallery providing users to share would be also nice. It could be a part of Flax Store incoming, but providing more ‘drop-in’ shader materials with editor itself will be very helpful to accelerate makers and also to teach themselves node tinkering.
